Knights of Pen & Paper 2 App Reviews

This is an amazing game that I play everyday, but since the new update I havent been able to open the game at all.

Knights of Pen and Paper is an overall good, fun, and hilarious game, but stay the hell away from the new DLC. Fists of +1 Fury is ok, if a bit plot-barren, but the latest expansion dropped the ball. While the game is chockfull of self-referencing humor, the Great Paywall (a new place added in this expansion) takes it way too far. As a fan of the series, I coughed up my $1.99 to enjoy the expansion, and then the paywall at the Great Paywall struck. To persuade a guard to move out of the way, you have to pay real money. Under most circumstances, I wouldnt mind, and give these devs their check. But not only is it a paywall, but its a broken paywall. After my purchase, I realized the guard hadnt done anything special. I tried multiple methods to get the quest to work, and by the time the dust cleared, Id dropped 20-ish REAL LIFE DOLLARS trying to get a quest to work. Please, Paradox. Tell me if this is a last-ditch attempt to milk the fanbase, or if you broke the game. Please fix it. Im begging you.

This game is amazing. But I only give it a four instead of a five because it keeps crashing and Im just wasting gold because of it. Losing weapons I craft because of this too. PLEASE FIX

I spend five dollars on a game that just crashes as soon as I open it (I have IOS 7 btw) why???

I spent my last $3 on this game and it doesnt even work! At least offer the older version to be downloaded instead! And change the requirements so people know.

Id love to give this app a good review, but seeing as I cant play it because of it crashing, a bad review is my only option.

Subsequent to update and exchange of money for dragons DLC, constant crash on iPad Air 2. Please deliver your portion of the exchange with an app that works.

Im not sure why other people are crashing, but mine hasnt crashed once since the update. The games one of my favorites from any platform and runs very smoothly.

Just about unplayable in its current form. Ive enjoyed this game in the past, and will definitely recommend it again once it actually works again.

Firstly, yes, there is a crashing problem with the new release. Its random and pretty rare (on iPhone 6 Plus at least) and you might have to restart a fight or crafting, but the auto save is super frequent and I find it a minor annoyance that Im sure will be fixed soon. Finished the new campaign and it was better writing and more challenging than the last one, Fist of Fury +1. I mean, Dragons!! Some great new art and items and beasts, including a new bestiary and the Bookworm player to take advantage of it, really completes the game. The Knight is a cool new character, with some complex dynamics based on Threat and Criticals and Regen, a worthy final addition. I bought the addition for 2 bucks right away in the magazine, cause I knew it would be awesome. The in-game way is hilarious I think with the paywall, but from the reviews there might be a glitch there until they fix it, so use the magazine for that I guess. And for $2, the new content is a steal. Theres this idea that everything in app gaming should be free these days, even though it never really is even when sold as such. Paradox obviously sees this as a labor of love, and it comes through. All I can think of now though is: when can I play Knights of Pen and Paper 3?!?!?

It crashes constantly. I just finished crafting a ton of stuff. When I logged back in, all of my gold was gone but none of my crafts had been saved! Terrible.

Played for a little while. Humor was good, gameplay was meh, crashed when I made a purchase (in-game currency). Game remembered I spent the money, but didnt give me my item. Kinda lost interest after that.

I love the game. I played the first one a while a ago and saw they had a second, figured why not. The first was a amazing. Everything was fine until I had to close the app because my class started. When I tried to open it now, it force closes. I only get to the main menu and then it crashes. Please fix this; Im on the iPhone 6s.

Fun game, would buy the extra content if it didnt crash so dang often. Frustratingly often....

The game is 100% focused on making you pay more money to even have a basic experience. The $5.00 story line they give you is maybe 1.5 hours worth of game play. Would not recommend to anyone unless they drop the price down to $1.00, or include all expansions with the $5.00. This game has probably 15 varieties of IAPs with 2 expansions for sale. Producers really screwed the pooch on this one.

So I got this game just to be disappointed, its just that the first one is better
